While waiting for a WWOOF farm to welcome us, we decided to go check out Wanaka and the surrounding area. We went on a hike out to the Aspiring Hut, with a side trip up to Cascade Saddle with Kevin... the track up to Cascade Saddle was quite steep and challenging... couldn't imagine having fun on that with a full bag with 4 full days worth of supplies.
Heading to the trailhead... we got fresh tracks... there were 7 stream crossings! Go Shevanagan!
